Job summary

Kokosing, Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead industrial construction projects in the Indiana region.

You will supervise Project Engineers, Superintendents, and Foremen, drive CPM schedules, and coordinate with clients to ensure projects stay on time and within budget. The role requires a Civil Engineering or Construction Management background with 8+ years of experience, strong communication, and leadership abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• PE credentialing not required but a strong plus.
• 8+ years' experience in construction, design, finance, and management.
• Open to other large construction experience.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and maintain liaison with prime client to facilitate construction activities.
• Establish project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within corporate policy.
• Confers with project staff to outline work plan, assign duties/responsibilities and authority.
• Establishes work plan and staffing for each phase of project; arranges recruitment or assignment of personnel.
• Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure work progresses on schedule and within budget.
• Reviews project proposals to determine timeframe, funding, procedures, staffing requirements, and resources.
• Reviews status reports and modifies schedules/plans as needed.
• Prepares project reports for management or client.
• Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and resolve problems.
• Coordinates project activities with governmental agencies and subcontractors.
• Understands CPM-based project schedules and executes them.
• Monitor and control construction to meet safety, schedule, and budget goals.
• Represent company in Owner progress meetings.
• Manage financial aspects of contracts and project profit or loss.
• Lead project team in regular coordination and safety meetings.
• Mentor and develop career growth of team members.
• Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.
