Job summary

National Coatings and Supplies is seeking an Industrial Account Manager to support the existing customer base and assist in sales at new accounts. The IAM provides technical assistance, conducts demonstrations, training, and acts as a solutions advocate for our customers.

The role requires industrial painting expertise, ability to travel regionally, especially TX and OK, and strong communication. You will train customers and internal staff and help with line trials and benchmarking to improve

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• 3+ years industrial painting experience with various application methods preferred.
• Must have problem solving skills specific to coatings and coating methods.
• Ability to assess and compare coatings products and application methods for benchmarking.
• Ability to demonstrate and train other painters about coating products and application methods in a customer shop environment.
• Ability to travel as needed nationally, mostly regionally in TX and OK.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and wear a respirator.

Responsibilities

• Support sales initiatives through customer paint application reviews, evaluations, and paint system recommendations.
• Lead customer line-trials and new customer start-ups as part of the selling process.
• Provide existing customer technical support and troubleshoot product/application issues.
• Train customers and internal staff on products and application methods.
• Benchmark competitor products and communicate strengths/weaknesses; perform benchmarking of coatings and methods.
• Be a product and application resource to the sales and operations teams.
