Job summary

Austin Industrial is seeking a Journeyman Boilermaker to construct, assemble, maintain and repair stationary boilers and related equipment at industrial sites across the U.S. You will read blueprints, perform welding, and install components to ensure safe, leakproof operations.

Required are NCCER Boilermaker certification, a valid driver’s license and TWIC card, plus 3–5 years of journeyman experience. This on-site role emphasizes safety, quality, and productivity in a dynamic industrial

Qualifications

• No formal education requirements.
• NCCER Boilermaker certification is required.
• Valid Driver’s License and TWIC Card are required.
• 3–5 years of Journeyman level experience.

Responsibilities

• Examine boilers, pressure vessels, tanks, or vats to locate defects and repair.
• Bolt or arc welds pressure vessel structures and parts together.
• Inspect vessels or components for defects and ensure proper function.
• Repair or replace defective pressure vessel parts using appropriate tools.
• Attach rigging and coordinate crane or hoist operators for lifting.
• Weld tube ends to ensure leakproof joints and shape seams as needed.
• Lay out plate/steel and mark cutting lines from blueprints.
• Install manholes, taps, gauges, and feedwater connections.
• Study blueprints to determine locations and dimensions of parts.
• Ensure safety, quality, and productivity in all duties.
