Responsibilities

• Examine boilers, pressure vessels, tanks, or vats to locate defects.
• Bolt or arc welds pressure vessel structures and parts together.
• Inspect vessels or components to locate defects.
• Repair or replace defective pressure vessel parts.
• Attach rigging and signal crane or hoist operators to lift heavy parts.
• Test assembled vessels and inspect fittings and controls.
• Clean pressure vessel equipment and install refractory bricks.
