Job summary

Austin Industrial is seeking a skilled Boilermaker to construct, assemble, maintain, and repair stationary steam boilers and related equipment at client sites across the U.S.

You will read blueprints, welds, install fittings, and perform boiler maintenance. Requires NCCER Boilermaker certification, valid driver's license, and TWIC; 3-5 years journeyman experience; equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Education: no minimum education requirements.
• Certification/License: NCCER Boilermaker certification, a Valid Driver’s License and TWIC Card
• Experience: 3–5 years of Journeyman level experience.

Responsibilities

• Examine boilers, pressure vessels, tanks, or vats to locate defects and plan repairs.
• Bolt or arc welds pressure vessel structures and parts together.
• Inspect vessels or components to locate defects.
• Repair or replace defective pressure vessel parts using tools and equipment.
• Attach rigging and signal crane/hoist operators to lift heavy parts.
• Lay out plate, sheet steel, or other heavy metal and mark cutting lines.
• Install manholes, taps, tubes, valves, gauges, or feedwater connections.
• Study blueprints to determine locations, relationships, or dimensions.
• Position, align, and secure structural parts to boiler frames, tanks, or vats.
