Job summary

EnerSys is a global leader in stored energy solutions and seeks a Field Service Technician to provide safe, responsive service across NSW. You will diagnose faults, repair and maintain industrial batteries, chargers and related equipment at customer sites, install and commission systems, and support maintenance activities as required.

The ideal candidate holds an electrical trade qualification with strong fault-finding skills, enables independent work on customer sites, and travels across NSW.

Qualifications

• Current Australian driver’s licence and willingness to travel throughout NSW.
• Demonstrated experience in field service, maintenance, repair or installation of industrial electrical, battery, material-handling, automotive or similar equipment.
• Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude, including safe use of hand tools, power tools and electrical test instruments within competency.
• Practical fault-finding capability and ability to interpret technical instructions, wiring information and service documentation.
• Clear written and verbal communication, numeracy and accurate digital record keeping.
• Ability to plan work, manage priorities and operate independently at customer sites while remaining connected to the broader team.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair equipment using structured fault-finding to identify electrical, electronic, electrochemical or mechanical causes.
• Use approved test instruments to check batteries, chargers, cables, and related equipment.
• Complete authorised repairs and preventive maintenance to quality standards.
• Verify repairs with functional and safety testing before returning equipment to service.
• Install, commission and hand over equipment to customers, including system checks and documentation.
