Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Technician to provide safe, timely mechanical and electrical support in our manufacturing facility. Primary duties include installation, service, repair, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance on multiple operating machines.

The ideal candidate has 2-3 years of electro-mechanical automation experience, knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics, familiarity with CMMS, and ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of Electro-Mechanical Automation System Installation & Troubleshooting Experience.
• Operational knowledge of automated industrial machinery incl. motors, servos, pumps, drives, relays, 3-phase power, controls.
• Good understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Strong PLC troubleshooting and problem-solving ability with mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Fully computer literate with Microsoft environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and timely mechanical and electrical support, preventative maintenance, installation, service, repair, troubleshooting, and resolution of machines.
• Work in a manufacturing industrial environment ensuring safety and uptime.
• Collaborate with team to maintain standard operating procedures and troubleshoot issues.
