Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician for the 3rd shift (7pm-7am) to perform routine maintenance across the facility and assembly floor. The role requires hands-on skills in carpentry, plumbing, electrical work and machine repair, with a focus on safety and timely reporting.

Qualified candidates have at least 3 years in a maintenance environment, a forklift license, and the ability to read drawings and OEM instructions.

Qualifications

• High school or technical school education with factory maintenance experience.
• Criminal background and drug screen check required for hire.
• Forklift license required.
• Must read and interpret drawings, sketches and OEM instructions.
• Experience in a manufacturing facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs maintenance tasks to support the assembly floor and facility.
• Detects and reports defective materials or unsafe conditions.
• Maintains clean and orderly work area and follows safety regulations.
• Performs preventive maintenance on machinery and building.
• Present a professional tone with customers and vendors.
• Ensure accurate department documentation and reporting.
