Job summary

Smurfit Westrock seeks an Electro-Mechanical Tech - Level 5 for 3rd shift in Chesterfield, MO. You will maintain, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair industrial mechanical and electrical equipment with emphasis on electrical controls.

Work with plant operations to ensure safe, reliable performance and quality service to customers. Requires 5+ years in electrical control troubleshooting and 2–3 years in mechanical/electrical repair, plus ability to read schematics and operate measuring tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 5+ years wiring/electrical control troubleshooting experience.
• 2–3 years hands-on electrical/mechanical equipment maintenance.
• Ability to read mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical schematics.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical and mechanical equipment down to component level.
• Maintain power transmission, gear drives, and various motors and actuators.
• Install and repair conveyors, lifts, turns, and chain drives.
• Read schematics and service pneumatic, hydraulic, and fluid transfer systems.
• Perform planned maintenance, lubrication, and safety procedures as scheduled.
• Fabricate using basic tools and measuring instruments as needed.
• Use basic computer/email tools for maintenance communication and documentation.
• Support team goals through effective collaboration.
