Job summary

Rexel USA in Amarillo, TX, is seeking an Industrial Automation Specialist to drive sales and provide pre-sales and post-sales support for automation products and services. The role involves on-site customer visits, technical guidance, and coordinating with Purchasing on inventory.

You will develop strategies, manage quotes and proposals, and help customers move projects from opportunity to order while maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and the sales team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of equivalent experience in electrical distribution or related field.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• High School or GED is required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Experience with Excel/Outlook/Word for reporting and communication.

Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed sales goals for assigned technology offerings.
• Develop sales strategies, promotions, and plans for growth.
• Prepare annual goals and sales action plans.
• Provide technical support to internal and external customers via on-site visits, phone, and email.
• Create and deliver technical and commercial training for customers and colleagues.
• Prepare quotations, proposals, and price estimates.
• Move projects through the sales cycle to closure with customers.
• Collaborate with Purchasing to manage inventory and avoid obsolescence.
