Job summary

Rea Magnet Wire in Lafayette, IN is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician. You will troubleshoot and repair electrical/electronic equipment, read PLC programs, program and install VFDs and HMIs, and work with 480VAC, 120VAC, and 24VDC in a 12-hour night shift environment.

Responsibilities include installing new circuits, wiring, cabinet assembly, preventive maintenance, and keeping accurate maintenance records.

Qualifications

Two-year technical degree or accredited apprenticeship in a technical field.
3–5 years experience in electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic fields.
Ability to read PLC programming and to program/install VFDs and HMIs (Allen Bradley equipment).

Responsibilities

Troubleshoots and repairs electrical/electronic equipment, including programmable controls, drives, and test equipment.
Repairs electrical and electronic circuits.
Troubleshoot industrial automation equipment such as PLCs, VFDs, and HMIs.
Install new electrical circuits and rough in conduit; cabinet assembly and maintenance.
Maintain records and perform preventive maintenance.
