Job summary

Katalyst-Healthcares- is seeking a Systems Engineer to support manufacturing automation, robotics, and controls at the Pratt & Whitney site in Asheville, NC. The role will help establish automation strategies to improve manufacturing performance and support new product development.

The candidate will develop and execute manufacturing methods, enforce site standards, and troubleshoot networked automation systems. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Systems/Industrial/Computer/Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
5+ years of experience with automated systems in manufacturing environments.
U.S. citizenship is mandatory due to government contract requirements.
Experience with databases and scripting.
Knowledge of manufacturing automation, networking, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

Support development and execution of manufacturing automation strategies.
Support automation requirements for new product development.
Develop and execute manufacturing methods and identify process optimization opportunities.
Establish and enforce site controls, robotics, and automation standards.
Provide Ethernet networking and automation network maintenance support.
Troubleshoot hardwired components and resolve technical issues.
Support automation network installation, configuration, deployment, backup, recovery, and archiving.
Monitor and troubleshoot automation network performance.
Deploy and manage cybersecurity firewalls.
Manage embedded device operating systems.
Follow standard engineering procedures and maintain technical documentation.
Work independently and meet project timelines.
