Katalyst-Healthcares- is seeking an Automation Engineer to support manufacturing automation, robotics, and controls at the Pratt & Whitney site in Asheville, NC. The role focuses on developing automation strategies, standardizing PLC code and HMI screens, and improving manufacturing processes.

Qualified candidates have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, 5+ years in automated manufacturing, U.S. citizenship for government contracts, and experience with Ignition SCADA, databases, and scripting.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent demonstrated experience in Industrial Electrical Engineering, Computer/Software Engineering, Manufacturing, or related discipline.
5+ years of experience in automated systems within manufacturing environments, or equivalent relevant qualifications and experience.
U.S. citizenship required due to government contract requirements.
Experience with Ignition SCADA, databases, and scripting.

Responsabilités

Support automation requirements for new product development.
Develop and execute manufacturing methods and identify process optimization opportunities.
Collaborate with Manufacturing and Quality Engineering teams to improve processes and data acquisition.
Establish and enforce site standards for controls, robotics, and automation.
Support Ethernet networking and troubleshoot hardwired components.
Develop and maintain standard engineering procedures and documentation.
Support PLC code standardization and HMI screen standardization.
Resolve technical issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Work independently under direction and meet project timelines.
