Job summary

Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Robotics Engineer to support robotics and automation initiatives at the Asheville, NC manufacturing site. You will work with FANUC robotics and autonomous mobile robot manufacturing processes, improve methods, and troubleshoot robotic systems in production.

The role involves developing and executing manufacturing methods, collaborating with Manufacturing and Quality Engineering to enhance processes and data acquisition, and coordinating with the automation team to

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 5+ years in automated manufacturing software.
Experience with autonomous mobile robot programming.
U.S. citizenship is required for program access.

Responsibilities

Support FANUC robotics and autonomous mobile robot manufacturing processes.
Develop and implement manufacturing methods and identify optimization opportunities.
Collaborate with Manufacturing and Quality Engineering teams to improve processes and data collection.
Coordinate with the automation team to establish standards for controls, robotics, and automation.
Monitor robot backup schedules and manage backup files.
Coordinate with system integrators on onsite and offline robot programming.
Troubleshoot robotic processes and related production issues.
Work independently and meet project timelines.
Follow environmental, health, and safety procedures.
