Job summary

AIC is seeking an on-site ML/software engineer to embed with partners and drive deployment of data-driven improvements on the factory floor. You will ship ML systems that process vision, time-series, and sensor data, building end-to-end pipelines and software across backend, frontend, and hardware integrations.

You will work closely with design partners to understand workflows, quantify operational improvements, and deliver measurable EBITDA gains through robust data models and production-grade

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in machine learning and software engineering in a fast and collaborative production environment.
• Statistical depth and intuition for small data: classical statistics, Bayesian methods, uncertainty quantification.
• Experience taking models from notebook to production: feature pipelines, evaluation, monitoring, and retraining.
• Experience with data modeling, ETL, system and API design, frontend, algorithms, hardware integration, data science, applied math, operations research, statistics, machine learning, devOps, or infrastructure.
• Hard-tech, robotics, and manufacturing background is a big plus.

Responsibilities

• Embed on-site with design partners and manufacturers to understand floor operations.
• Build predictive models and deploy ML that interfaces with hardware on the factory floor.
• Develop data pipelines and ETL for sensor and machine data; ship software end-to-end.
• Quantify EBITDA impact of floor-level changes on throughput, quality, and margins.
• Write production code across full stack (data model, backend, frontend, ML pipelines, integrations).
• Coordinate on-site and HQ staff for deployment and change management.
• Lead process-engineering deployment and align software changes with operational changes.
