Job summary

AIC is seeking a software engineer to embed on-site with partners, translating observations into concrete software requirements and delivering full-stack solutions. You’ll work across hardware interfaces, frontend and backend, while coordinating with HQ to ensure adoption and success.

You will be responsible for designing interfaces, maintaining code quality, and driving operational maturity that translates into measurable financial outcomes for partners. Equity is offered.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of software engineering experience in a fast, collaborative production environment.
• Strong React and TypeScript fundamentals for data-intensive frontend applications.
• Ability to design visually appealing workflows, layouts, and typography without a designer.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with data modeling, ETL, APIs, frontend, algorithms, or ML is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Embed on-site with design partners and manufacturers for meaningful stretches of the year.
• Build trust across the vertical from GM to technician, ensuring adoption of software/hardware.
• Develop genuine understanding of partner shops: history, constraints, people, and physics.
• Translate observations into concrete requirements and build/maintain software on-site and at HQ.
• Write production code across the full stack: data model, ETL, backend, frontend, algorithms, hardware integrations.
• Set frontend standards: component architecture, design system, TypeScript conventions.
• Design and build interfaces the AIC OS runs through, hardware and software.
• Coordinate deployment with process changes, training, and change management.
• Own outcomes, focusing on operational maturity and partner financial results.
