Job summary

AIC is a software-led industrial holding company seeking a technical leader to embed on-site with partners, building ML-enabled solutions that bridge software, hardware, and manufacturing processes. You will craft models from sparse data, deploy end-to-end data pipelines, and ship systems touching floor operations.

You will work directly with partners and internal teams to translate observations into concrete requirements, write production code across the stack, and drive improvements that move

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in machine learning and software engineering in a fast and collaborative production environment.
• Statistical depth and intuition for small data: classical statistics, Bayesian methods, uncertainty quantification.
• Experience taking models from notebook to production: feature pipelines, evaluation, monitoring, and retraining.
• Experience with data modeling, ETL, system and API design, frontend, algorithms, hardware integration, data science, applied math, operations research, statistics, machine learning, devOps, or infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Embed on-site with design partners and manufacturers to learn the floor workflows.
• Build trust across the vertical from GM to technician for adoption of software and hardware.
• Develop understanding of shop constraints, people, physics, and history to inform solutions.
• Build models on factory data and ship ML that interfaces with hardware (vision, inspection, part ID, sensor data).
• Quantify impact on EBITDA by linking floor changes to throughput, quality, margins, and business outcomes.
• Translate observations into concrete requirements and own the software delivery on-site and at HQ.
