Job summary

AIC is seeking an on-site software engineer in El Segundo to embed with partners and build the next generation of Decision Physics-based software for manufacturing. You will work closely with design partners and technicians to deploy, verify, and scale data-driven solutions.

You will write production-grade code across the stack, ensure operational maturity, and drive measurable outcomes that improve efficiency and capacity in the partner's workflows.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in software engineering in a production environment.
• Experience in product and design contexts is required.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with data intensive applications and architectures.
• Proficient in data modeling, ETL, system and API design, frontend, ML pipelines.
• Background in hard-tech, robotics, or manufacturing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Embed on-site with partners and manufacturers for meaningful stretches.
• Build trust across the vertical from GM to technicians for adoption.
• Develop deep understanding of partner shops, constraints, and workflow.
• Translate observations into concrete requirements and ship software.
• Write production code across the full stack: data model, ETL, backend, frontend, ML, hardware integrations.
• Coordinate on-site and HQ staff to deploy and maintain solutions.
• Own outcomes and financial impact rather than just deliverables.
