Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking an Advisor of Strategic Sourcing (Indirect) to develop and execute sourcing strategies for indirect categories and drive cost optimization. You will manage supplier relationships, bid processes, and contracting while aligning with business partners across the organization.

The role requires collaboration with Legal and Compliance, cross-functional teams, and a strong financial acumen to ensure competitive terms and values for patients and customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Economics, or related field.
• 3+ years in strategic sourcing, category management, supplier management and negotiation.
• Strong English communication and presentation skills; strong financial acumen.
• MS Office familiarity; SAP and SAP Ariba a plus.

Responsibilities

• Category Sourcing Lead for assigned indirect categories (e.g., Environmental Health & Safety, Energy, Facilities).
• Primary indirect sourcing partner for key stakeholders.
• Work with indirect suppliers to source indirect goods and services.
• Initiate, negotiate and finalize new indirect supplier contracts and maintain existing contracts.
• Manage RFP events within assigned indirect categories.
• Drive purchasing discipline and compliance with internal stakeholders.
• Review and approve BuyNow purchase requests and new supplier setups.
• Collaborate with legal and compliance to ensure favorable contract terms.
