Heritage Headquarters in Downtown Phoenix is seeking an experienced event sales professional as an independent contractor to fill the calendar across corporate, nonprofit, and celebration markets. You’ll tour venues, qualify leads, and close bookings while owning the end-to-end sales process.

You’ll price against a rate card, manage a pipeline, and collaborate with owners to shape market strategy. Some evening/weekend tours are expected; you’ll set your own schedule.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in event, venue, catering or hospitality sales.
• Time in the Phoenix market.
• Quoted from a rate card and managed a sales pipeline.
• Strong tour-read of a room and listening skills.
• Self-managing and able to work independently.
• Evening and weekend availability for tours/events.
• Independent contractor with own general liability coverage.

Responsibilities

• Prospect and develop new business across three markets: corporate/HR, nonprofit, celebrations.
• Run venue tours and site visits; close on tours.
• Own inbound inquiries end to end: response, qualification, proposal, contract.
• Quote from rate card and negotiate within approved discounts.
• Maintain a clean pipeline and weekly forecast for ownership.
• Build relationships with planners, caterers, DMCs and hotel partners.
• Help build the sales system in first 45 days: rate card, lead routing, CRM, tour script.
