Colorado Early Colleges is seeking an Orientation and Mobility Specialist to support students with visual impairments. The role travels to assigned schools and homes to provide direct and consultative services, enabling safe, independent travel within home, school, and community settings.

Responsibilities include planning O&M evaluations, developing instructional materials, and coordinating with educators to align with IEP goals. A Master’s degree and Colorado O&M licensure are required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree with proper teaching licensure.
• Colorado special services license with Orientation and Mobility endorsement.
• Experience in educational settings preferred.

Responsabilités

• Develop, plan, prepare, and implement orientation and mobility evaluations for students.
• Create lesson plans and materials modeling O&M techniques.
• Provide instruction in visual efficiency, tactile symbols, braille, assistive tech, and sensory skills.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to implement individualized programs.
• Monitor student progress and adjust instruction per IEP goals.
