Job summary

RCM Healthcare Services is seeking an Orientation and Mobility (O&M) Specialist to support students birth to 21 with visual impairments. The role delivers direct, consultative, and evaluative services to maximize independence in safe travel within home, school, and community.

The candidate will collaborate with families, school staff, and community professionals to support goals and accommodations. Requires a Bachelor's degree and specialized certifications; PDE certification preferred for PA

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related area required.
• Certificate in Education of the Visually Impaired and Orientation and Mobility required.
• PDE certification preferred for Pennsylvania-based roles.
• Experience providing education-related services to students with visual impairments.

Responsibilities

• Conduct orientation and mobility evaluations for new referrals and reevaluations, addressing safety and independence.
• Contribute to ERs and IEPs, including goals and progress documentation.
• Collaborate with school staff, families, and professionals to support accommodations.
• Maintain accurate student records and required reporting data.
• Provide input on schedules to allocate travel training and instruction time.
• Attend meetings, respond to inquiries, and perform related duties.
