Job summary

Stine Seed Company in Peoria County, North Central Illinois, seeks an Independent Sales Representative to serve as the ambassador of the Stine brand, grow and manage accounts, and promote seed products with agronomic knowledge.

You will work with the sales agronomist and build relationships with growers, leveraging industry connections to meet sales targets and expand the territory. Flexible, territory-focused role with earning potential based on results.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of ag experience, including agronomy, crop production or seed sales.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven sales techniques, as well as strong negotiating skills.
• Experience in dealer development and retention.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision to meet established goals.
• Ability to build/maintain strong relationships with growers by understanding their needs and values.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary ambassador of the Stine brand within the assigned territory.
• Develop and maintain thorough agronomic and technical knowledge of Stine seed products and services applicable to the territory.
• Manage existing accounts & recruit new accounts to increase sales.
• Communicate and implement Stine's sales programs and policies within the territory to meet sales goals for the district.
• Work in conjunction with the Stine Regional Sales Agronomist to provide a high level of sales support within the territory.
• Develop and enhance relationships with customers and potential customers, either personally or through a designated seller.
