Job summary

Easterseals Hawaii is seeking a Direct Support Professional to assist adults with disabilities in developing skills and living independently. Positions may be facility-based or home-based, with full-time hours and on-site training provided.

You will support participants in daily living activities, document progress, and help implement individualized plans while ensuring health and safety, confidentiality, and respectful care.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: high school diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• HIPAA privacy requirements must be understood.

Responsibilities

• Support participants to achieve maximum independence.
• Follow Individual Plans and health/safety guidelines.
• Complete participant data and documentation on web-based platforms.
• Submit timesheets and credentialing documents by deadlines.
• Attend required department meetings and training.
• Maintain clean, hygienic, and safe environment.
• Respond to emergencies per FoC procedures.
• Support transfers and daily living activities as needed.
