Job summary

Easterseals Hawaii is seeking a Direct Support Professional in Kahului, HI to assist adults with disabilities in daily living and skills development. This part-time role involves promoting independence, completing documentation, and providing personal care as needed in program, community, or home settings.

You will follow Individual Plans, work with a supportive team, and participate in required training, health screenings, and safety procedures to ensure participant wellbeing and program

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a HS diploma or GED.
• Ability to work with adults with disabilities and diverse populations.
• Must obtain DOJ/FBI clearance and health screenings per policy.
• Proficient with computer use, email, and basic office software.
• Ability to work with diverse participants.

Responsibilities

• Support participants to achieve independence per their plan.
• Follow guidelines to promote health and safety.
• Document data via web-based platforms and submit timesheets on time.
• Attend department meetings and required trainings; assist with personal care as needed.
• Maintain a clean, hygienic, safe environment and report safety concerns.
• Assist with driving to program activities and participant homes when assigned.
