Job summary

Easterseals Hawaii is seeking a Direct Support Professional to work with adults with disabilities, promoting independence and community integration in program, community, or home-based settings.

Responsibilities include implementing Individual Plans, ensuring health and safety, and accurate data entry. Must be at least 18 with a high school diploma or GED. The role requires patience, cultural sensitivity, and effective communication in a supportive, compliant environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School diploma, GED or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Support participants to achieve the highest level of independence possible.
• Provide input and implement the participant's Individual Plan.
• Follow organizational guidelines to promote health and safety.
• Monitor, respond to and report issues to the Case Coordinator or supervisor.
• Provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities as needed.
• Accurately complete all participant-related data and documentation by the assigned deadline via a web-based platform.
• Submit timesheets, leave requests, credentialing documents, and training by the deadline via FoC platforms.
• Attend department meetings and trainings.
• Assist in maintaining a clean, hygienic, and safe environment.
• Respond to emergencies as defined in FoC procedures.
• Report safety concerns to the Program Manager.
• Handle multiple tasks, adhere to deadlines, and manage urgent projects.
