Job summary

The Bindu Institute, LLC is seeking a Life Skills Coach to support individuals with brain injuries or neurological conditions in a community setting. The role focuses on helping clients acquire, retain, and improve skills for independent living and access to community resources.

Key duties include advocacy, guiding decision-making, assisting with home routines, promoting social engagement, and facilitating participation in community activities.

Qualifications

• Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
• Must have reliable computer or device for daily documentation (Word/Excel/Acrobat).
• BS/BA in related field OR 1–2 years' experience with adults who are developmentally disabled preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides positive support and advocacy for the client.
• Assists with identifying choices and informed decisions for daily activities.
• Supports household management, including cleanliness and routine.
• Facilitates participation in recreation and community activities to promote socialization.
• Aids in community integration, including transportation to appointments and events.
• Maintains documentation and complies with organizational policies.
