Job summary

The Bindu Institute, LLC is seeking a Life Skills Coach in Odessa, FL to work with individuals with brain injuries or neurological conditions. You will provide individualized supports to help clients achieve independent living and access community resources.

Essentially, you will advocate for clients, assess needs, assist with decision making, and help establish safe routines. A valid driver's license and reliable device for documentation are required, with a focus on respectful, ethical care.

Qualifications

• Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
• Must have reliable computer for documentation; experience with Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat Reader.
• BS/BA in related field OR 1-2 years experience working with adults who are developmentally disabled or related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides advocacy and positive support for the client.
• Provides guidance with identifying choices and making informed decisions for daily activities.
• Provides structure and support in household management, including cleanliness and routines.
• Assists with participation in recreation and community activities to promote socialization.
• Assists clients with improving community living and integration skills in various settings and transport.
• Maintains professional documentation and daily progress notes per policy.
