Job summary

The Bindu Institute, LLC in Houston, TX is seeking a Life Skills Coach to work in the community with individuals who have brain injuries or other neurological conditions. The role provides individualized supports to help clients gain independence at home and access community resources.

Responsibilities include advocacy, daily living assistance, mobility support, transportation, and documenting progress. A reliable computer and proficiency with Word/Excel are required; a valid driver's license

Qualifications

• Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities or related disabilities preferred.
• Must have reliable computer for documentation; Word, Excel, and Acrobat required.
• BS/BA in related field or 1–2 years' experience with adults who are developmentally disabled preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides positive support and advocacy for the client.
• Assists with decision-making and activities of daily living.
• Supports household management and safe routines.
• Facilitates participation in recreation and community activities; provides transportation as needed.
• Maintains client documentation and progresses notes per policy.
