Job summary

The Bindu Institute, LLC is seeking a Life Skills Coach to support veterans with brain injuries and neurological conditions in a community setting. The role focuses on independent living skills, decision-making, and community integration through personalized supports.

As part-time staff, you will help clients access resources, participate in activities, and maintain daily routines, while documenting progress. A valid driver’s license and basic tech skills are required.

Qualifications

• Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities or related disabilities preferred.
• Must have a reliable computer or device for daily documentation and be proficient with MS Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat Reader.
• BS/BA in related field or 1–2 years' experience working with adults who are developmentally disabled or related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides positive support and advocates for the client.
• Guides clients in identifying choices and making informed decisions about activities and life.
• Supports household management, including maintaining cleanliness and establishing routines.
• Assists with participation in recreation and community activities to promote socialization.
• Helps clients improve community living and integration skills in various settings, including transportation.
