Job summary

The Thrasher Group seeks a Construction Inspector to support our projects in Mason County, West Virginia as an independent contractor (1099). You will participate in on-site activities, monitor progress, and maintain project documentation to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.

This role requires hands-on site oversight, strong communication with owners, engineers, and contractors, and the ability to travel between project sites as needed; independent contractor status means managing

Qualifications

• OSHA 10, CPR, and first aid certifications are highly desirable.
• Water treatment: Class 3 or higher certification advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Participate in on-site activities with residents, owners, and contractors.
• Monitor construction progress and adherence to plans and specifications.
• Maintain detailed project quantity records, daily reports, and changes.
• Keep redline and as-built drawings to document modifications.
• Monitor for construction defects and ensure quality standards.
• Facilitate communication between owners, engineers, and contractors.
• Coordinate information flow to keep all parties informed.
• Travel to project sites as needed, including extended stays away from home.
