Job summary

The Thrasher Group is seeking a Construction Inspector in West Virginia as an independent contractor. You will oversee site activities, ensure plans are followed, and keep detailed project records across multiple projects.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of inspection experience, OSHA 10/CPR/first aid certifications, and the ability to operate as a separate business with project-based compensation.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of relevant construction inspection experience
• OSHA 10, CPR, and first aid certifications highly desirable
• Proof of independent contractor status (e.g., business license, general liability insurance) as required by contract

Responsibilities

• Participate in on-site activities, collaborating with residents, property owners, and contractors
• Monitor construction progress, adherence to plans, and compliance with specifications
• Maintain detailed records of project quantities, daily reports, and changes
• Keep accurate redline and as-built drawings to document project modifications
• Travel to project sites as needed, including extended stays away from home during the week
