Job summary

The Thrasher Group is seeking a Construction Inspector to support projects in Mason County, West Virginia as a 1099 independent contractor. You will perform on-site oversight, documentation, and QA, ensuring adherence to plans and specifications while coordinating with owners, engineers, and contractors.

You will travel to project sites as needed, maintain thorough project records, and provide timely communication to stakeholders.

Qualifications

3–5 years of relevant construction inspection experience.
OSHA 10, CPR and first aid certifications are highly desirable.
Water treatment certification Class 3 or higher is advantageous.
Proof of independent contractor status is required by contract.

Responsibilities

Participate in on-site activities, collaborating with residents, property owners, and contractors.
Monitor construction progress, adherence to plans, and compliance with specifications.
Maintain detailed records of project quantities, daily reports, and changes.
Keep accurate redline and as-built drawings to document project modifications.
Monitor work to identify and prevent construction defects.
Ensure projects meet quality standards and specifications.
Facilitate effective communication between project stakeholders, including owners, engineers, and contractors.
Coordinate information flow to keep all parties informed throughout the project.
Travel to project sites as needed, including extended stays away from home during the week.
