Job summary

The Thrasher Group is seeking a Senior Construction Manager for a large-scale infrastructure project in Mason County, WV. This is an independent contractor (1099) engagement, demanding strong on-site leadership and a focus on quality and safety.

You will serve as Thrasher's principal on-site representative during lead CM absences, including nights and weekends, with the project operating around the clock. Extensive heavy civil/utility experience and the ability to manage complex field activities

Qualifications

• 10+ years in heavy civil and/or utility construction.
• Senior field experience with on-site management responsibilities.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Serve as senior on-site representative of Thrasher and owner for technical/quality oversight.
• Monitor and document earthwork, utilities, and site development activities for conformance.
• Act as primary contact for owner and general contractor when lead CM is unavailable.
• Review daily field reports and track production/earthwork volumes; document SWPPP and quality compliance.
• Identify and escalate nonconformance, discrepancies, and schedule risks.
