Job summary

The Thrasher Group seeks a Senior Construction Manager as a 1099 independent contractor to support a large infrastructure project in Mason County, WV. Thrasher serves as the owner's technical and quality representative, observing and documenting contractor work for conformance with project plans.

This senior on-site role requires independent judgment and extensive heavy civil/utility construction experience, with availability for extended on-site coverage as the project moves to 24-7 operations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in heavy civil and/or utility construction experience.
• Ability to read plans and specifications and verify conformance.
• Independent contractor status with proof such as business license or insurance.

Responsibilities

• Serve as senior on-site representative of Thrasher to oversee owner technical/quality requirements.
• Monitor earthwork, utilities, and site development for conformance with plans.
• Act as primary owner/GC contact when lead Construction Manager is unavailable.
• Review daily field reports and track production and earthwork volumes.
• Identify nonconformance, discrepancies, and schedule risks early.
