Job summary

Empower Mental Health is seeking an experienced Audiologist to conduct VA Compensation & Pension evaluations. This non-treatment role focuses on evaluation, testing and documentation, with flexible scheduling and no ongoing patient caseload.

The ideal candidate holds an active Audiologist license (Au.D. or equivalent), follows VA guidelines, and delivers objective, clearly reported findings to support Veteran benefits.

Qualifications

• Active Audiologist license.
• Strong documentation and report-writing skills.
• Ability to follow structured evaluation protocols.
• Comfortable performing objective, fact-based evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Compensation & Pension (C&P) audiology evaluations for Veterans
• Perform structured hearing and tinnitus-related evaluations based on VA guidelines
• Utilize Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) and standardized audiology testing protocols
• Gather relevant history through focused, objective interviews
• Complete audiometric testing and related clinical documentation as required
• Prepare clear, concise, and timely reports in VA-required formats
• Provide factual, unbiased assessments without influencing outcomes
• Complete and submit documentation within required timeframes
• Maintain clear boundaries between evaluation and treatment
• Adhere to all ethical, legal, and confidentiality standards
