Job summary

Sampson County Government is seeking an Income Maintenance Caseworker II to perform eligibility and case maintenance duties in our public assistance program. You will interview customers, verify information, determine eligibility, maintain records, and implement changes in the record using NCFAST.

Candidates should have experience in income maintenance, strong reading and math skills, and the ability to explain rules to clients and to work within deadlines.

Qualifications

• One year of experience as an Income Maintenance Caseworker I is required for an Income Maintenance Caseworker II.
• Bi-lingual skills and/or DSS experience preferred.
• Applicants may qualify for a work against appointment with a certain degree of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Interview customers, verify information, determine eligibility, and maintain records.
• Explain rules and procedures, read and interpret policy, and operate NCFAST.
