Job summary

You will verify data, maintain a caseload, document decisions, and refer clients to relevant services while upholding confidentiality and communicating clearly with clients and public officials.

Qualifications

• One year of experience as an Income Maintenance Caseworker or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Work against appointment options may be considered with corresponding educational backgrounds, including associate degree in related fields or related public contact experience.

Responsibilities

• Interview clients and collateral contacts to gather information and determine eligibility for programs.
• Verify information and investigate discrepancies within records.
• Assist clients in retaining benefits by updating information in records and eligibility system.
• Document eligibility decisions and maintain client records to ensure accountability for funds.
• Provide clients with information about services and refer to appropriate agencies or partners.
