Job summary

Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board is seeking a compassionate Therapeutic Recreation & Inclusion Supervisor to develop, implement, coordinate, supervise, and evaluate programs and staff. The role ensures services reflect national best practices in therapeutic recreation and inclusion aligned with the MPRB mission and goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Parks and Recreation Administration or closely related field with a specialty in Therapeutic Recreation.
• Five or more years of increasingly responsible experience leading therapeutic recreation programs and services.
• First Aid and CPR certifications required within one month of hire.

Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board is accepting applications for a compassionate and dedicated Therapeutic Recreation & Inclusion Supervisor who develops, implements, plans, coordinates, supervises, and evaluates therapeutic recreation programs, services, and staff. Ensures that programs and services demonstrate national best practices of therapeutic recreation and inclusion; are in alignment with the mission, vision, values, goals and objectives of the MPRB; and meet the needs and interests of diverse communities. Coordinates and collaborates with internal and external partners to build and support programming initiatives and goals.

Need to Have:

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Parks and Recreation Administration, or closely related field with a specialty in Therapeutic Recreation.
• Increasingly responsible experience operating and leading therapeutic recreation programs and services: at least five (5) years.
• First Aid and CPR certifications required within one (1) month of hire.
• Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
