Monarch Healthcare Management in Minnesota is seeking a Therapeutic Recreation Director to develop, implement, supervise, and evaluate resident activity programs to enhance quality of life.

You will lead TR staff, coordinate with the interdisciplinary team, manage the department budget, ensure safety and infection control, and deliver person-centered, engaging programs across facilities while supporting residents’ physical, emotional, and psychosocial well-being.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed or registered Therapeutic Recreation Specialist, Activities Professional, qualified occupational therapist/assistant, or have relevant healthcare activity program experience or state-approved training.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, supervise and evaluate resident activity and recreation programs.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to integrate recreation into the care plan.
• Oversee TR staff and volunteers, or perform TR Aide duties when needed.
• Manage department budget and ensure safety and infection control standards.
