Job summary

City of Montgomery Parks and Recreation Department is seeking a Therapeutic Recreation professional to develop, implement and oversee programs for diverse abilities at the Therapeutic Recreation Center. You will plan, supervise, and coordinate scheduling, and mentor staff and volunteers to ensure quality community services.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in therapeutic recreation or related field and at least one year of relevant experience, with responsibilities including budgeting

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in therapeutic recreation or allied health field and 1 year of experience programming activities for therapeutic recreation.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise and coordinate scheduling of all programs for diverse abilities and needs.
• Supervise staff and volunteers.
• Coordinate the orientation of all new participants.
• Contribute to department objectives.
• Assist the Therapeutic Recreation Center Director in scheduling, budgeting and resource allocation.
