Job summary

CAIRO Academy ELC in Portland, OR is seeking a Classroom Inclusion Aide to support teachers, implement inclusive instruction, and assist with individualized plans for young children. You will collaborate with families, MECP, and specialists to provide accommodations and ensure access to learning in a supportive environment.

The role emphasizes safeguarding a safe, culturally responsive classroom and may involve medication administration training.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 and ORO Step 4 documented.
• At least 1 year of verified experience in a certified childcare center for ages 3–5.
• Experience in inclusive settings supporting children with varying needs.
• At least 240 documented hours as an Aide I or Aide II.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Lead and Assistant Teachers to support daily classroom operations.
• Implement curriculum and individualized supports for children with diverse abilities.
• Create an inclusive, safe learning environment and document accommodations and plans.
• Support families, MECP, and specialists; assist with IFSPs and small-group learning.
• Ensure least restrictive environment and promote full participation.

Education

Minimum age 18 and ORO Step 4
