Oregon Child Development Coalition (OCDC) is seeking a Preschool Instructional Assistant to support teaching staff and maintain a safe, engaging classroom environment across Oregon. Roles include supervising children, assisting with routines, and helping with activities while following grant standards, licensing regulations, and USDA guidelines.

No prior education or experience is required; within four months you must meet Oregon ELD requirements for a preschool Teacher Aide II.

Qualifications

• No prior education or experience is required for this position.
• Must meet Oregon Early Learning Division requirements within 4 months for preschool Teacher Aide II.
• Meets Oregon Early Learning Division requirements for a preschool Teacher.
• Placement within the range is determined by factors such as relevant experience, skills, certifications, and internal equity.

Responsabilités

• Support teaching staff in maintaining a safe, healthy, and nurturing preschool classroom environment
• Supervise preschool-age children in classrooms and on playgrounds using positive guidance techniques
• Assist with daily routines, including toileting, dressing, meals, and transitions to and from the classroom
• Help implement daily classroom activities such as free play, story time, and learning centers
• Maintain classroom cleanliness, including disinfecting toys and furniture and replenishing supplies
• Communicate respectfully and positively with children, families, and staff
• Support dual language classroom activities, as applicable
• Assist with basic record keeping and classroom documentation as assigned
• Provide classroom coverage to maintain child-to-teacher ratios during staff breaks or short absences
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Formation

High School Diploma or equivalent; CDA certificate
