Qualifications

• Highly qualified with required competency in the content area.
• Appropriate content/program area educator license (Teacher of Students with Moderate Disabilities) and grade level licensure (PreK-8) from MA DESE.
• Bachelor's Degree with appropriate license; or Master’s Degree with appropriate license preferred and/or expected within 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Meets and instructs assigned classes in designated locations and times.
• Plans a program of study meeting students' needs, interests, and abilities.
• Creates a conducive classroom environment for learning and engagement.
• Guides learning toward district curriculum goals with clear objectives.
• Prepares for classes and shows evidence of preparation as required.
• Uses varied instructional techniques and media to fit learners' needs.
• Assess students regularly and communicate progress to parents as needed.
• Maintains accurate records in compliance with laws and policy.
