Job summary

Qualifications

• Highly qualified with required competency in the content area.
• Appropriate content/program area educator license (Teacher of Students with Moderate Disabilities) and PreK-8 licensure from MA DESE.
• Bachelor’s Degree with appropriate license; Master’s Degree preferred and/or expected within 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Meets and instructs assigned classes in the locations/times designated.
• Plans study program to meet students’ needs, interests, and abilities.
• Creates a conducive classroom environment for learning and engagement.
• Communicates clear objectives and progress to students and families.
• Maintains accurate records as required by policy and regulations.
• Diagnoses learning challenges and seeks district specialist assistance when needed.
