Job summary

Penn Hills School District seeks a Paraprofessional for an inclusive 3-5 classroom. Candidates must have an Associate’s degree or 60 college credits and complete PA credential requirements.

Experience with children with special needs is preferred. Responsibilities include assisting with instruction, supporting daily activities, and participating in IEP conferences under PA Certified Professionals.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree or 60 credits or TABE average or higher with Pa credential.
• One to two years of experience with children with special needs preferred.
• CPR and First Aid training preferred.
• Strong communication skills (oral and written).
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and student management systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist children to and from the bus at arrival and departure times.
• Provide personal care services as needed for activities of daily living.
• Prepare and operate instructional equipment and materials.
• Maintain attendance records and data with confidentiality.
• Assist with feeding and supervise cafeteria duties as required.
• Attend parent/teacher and IEP conferences as requested.
• Follow IEPs and behavioral plans under supervision.
