Job summary

Alliance Public School District is seeking a dedicated Special Education Paraprofessional to support students under the direction of a certified teacher in an inclusionary setting.

The role involves assisting students in achieving academic success, managing challenging behaviors, providing personal care, and supporting social integration, toileting, and feeding where needed. You will collaborate with Special Education and Regular Education staff to promote dignity and safety for every student.

Responsibilities

• Assisting students in achieving academic success
• Working with students who may be aggressive or disruptive in class
• Behavior support which may includes physical management (training provided as needed)
• Personal care
• Social integration
• Toileting
• Feeding
• Consultation and collaboration with Special Education and Regular Education Teachers as well as related service staff
• Any and all other duties as may be assigned per the Alliance Classified Handbook and Administration
