Job summary

ACCEL Schools LLC in Canton, Ohio is seeking qualified Intervention Specialists to support students with IEPs in inclusive settings at Canton College Preparatory School and Wright Preparatory Academy.

You will design and implement instructional and behavioral plans, lead IEP meetings, assess progress, and collaborate with teachers and families to foster academic and social-emotional growth.

A growth-focused coaching model and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• 2) Experience in inclusion or Co-Teaching in a Resource Room model.
• 3) Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
• 4) Proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook.
• 5) Excellent organization and time management.

Responsibilities

• Work cooperatively with classroom teachers, interpreting abilities and disabilities and modify general education curricula as needed.
• Conduct diagnostic assessments for instruction.
• Conduct functional behavior assessments.
• Write and implement behavior improvement plans.
• Facilitate IEP Meetings and write IEP goals and objectives.
• Meet state achievement goals and support student growth.
• Use research-based best practices in daily planning and instruction.
• Integrate culturally responsive teaching in lessons and interactions.
• Serve as advisor for a designated group of students.
• Communicate with families about academic and social-emotional progress.
• Plan and participate in non-instructional activities and field trips.
• Perform other assigned duties.
