Job summary

Mukilteo School District is seeking a Paraeducator for Columbia Elementary in Mukilteo, WA. The role runs 6.0 hours per day, 145 days per year, with an 8:45 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.

schedule and a one-hour unpaid lunch. The position supports students in a Developmental Preschool classroom under the teacher's direction. The successful candidate will have basic WA State para qualifications and experience with children, with preference for those who have worked with preschool students with special needs

Qualifications

• Be at least eighteen years of age and hold a high school diploma or its equivalent.
• Experience working with children and ability to supervise in multiple settings.

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher with planning, preparation and delivery of instructional activities.
• Supervise students during recess, cafeteria, library, and bus assistance.
• Provide first aid, medical assistance, and personal care as needed for ill or disabled students.
• Monitor student behavior and progress; maintain a safe learning environment.
• Assist with data entry, record keeping and preparation of classroom materials.
