Job summary

Mukilteo School District Explorer Middle School in Everett, WA is seeking a 1:1 Paraeducator. The role runs 6.5 hours daily for 180 days a year, 7:50 a.m. to 2:50 p.m., under the teacher's direction to support a student with 1:1 needs.

Minimum WA State qualifications apply, with preferred experience related to social-emotional development and behavior goals. Starting date is immediate, with benefits included.

Qualifications

• Be at least eighteen years old and hold a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Complete either an associate degree or higher, or 72 quarter credits / 48 semester credits at 100 level or higher, or an apprenticeship.
• Pass PESB-approved assessments if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher with planning, preparation and delivery of instruction.
• Supervise students at recess, cafeteria, library, bus assistance and crossing guard duties.
• Implement education and safety procedures, support IEP goals and student health needs.
• Maintain student records, administer tests and monitor progress as directed.
• Provide first aid, medical support and personal care as required.
• Assist with behavior management and individualized educational growth.
• Perform clerical tasks and prepare classroom materials as needed.
